Lisa Hanley

Lisa Hanley is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Civil Society Center at Zeppelin University where she coordinats the International Research Network on Social Economic Empowerment (IRENE|SEE) funded by the Siemens Stiftung. She has worked in the field of international development and urban studies and was the former project associate of the comparative urban studies project at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C.

She holds a PhD in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University, MA in Geography from the University of Texas, and BA in International Affairs from the George Washington University. She has been an Associated Researcher at the Centre for the Study of the City at FLACSO, Ecuador and was the recipient of a Ford Foundation Social Science Research fellowship and a Fulbright fellowship.
